Tuesday 16th April
10:55am - 11:25pm: Ultrasound Assisted Shock Assessment
Bedside ultrasound can be a useful adjunct when assessing the hypotensive patient. There are a few described protocols that can help guide the clinician when performing the assessment.

1:30pm - 2:05pm: Serratus Anterior and Erector Spinae Plane Blocks
These single shot plane blocks can be considered as possible alternatives to epidural block for multiple rib fractures pain management, with fewer side effects.

3:45pm - 4.15pm: Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block
Ultrasound has been shown to increase the success of compartment blocks and increases safety by allowing a single shot injection of local anaesthetic under direct vision for hip fracture pain management.
